Login lost the redirect but when I reopened the link it worked like a charm. Thanks!
Sometimes itβs brilliant and sometimes it makes the worst mistakes. Also I make mistakes too when specifying and itβs just too eager to go with whatever I give it. I know the codebase will become a mess if I avert my eyes for two seconds.
Just noticed this. Also thereβs a new trend of putting the company logotype at the bottom of the footer in full width with a huge font. What do you call it?
Google Antigravity is one example off the top of my head
no matter how amazing and wonderful ai tools get at making code, i will still be sat here entering my silly little code into my silly little editor manually because the experience of being slow and fucking it up is why i enjoy this hobby
I donβt see why would anyone not use the canonical implementation and prefer to have it in a different language.
I canβt imagine a future where they do that :D
When I eventually get around to writing this blog post, I will dig up these blog posts and feature them, and thank them for their selfless efforts.
I owe them that much.
The problem is, the LLM generated configs were basically scraped from these blogs. I used their knowledge without seeing their name.
As an occasional blogger myself, I felt dirty.
I donβt think this kind of information laundering is ethical. We need to keep the human connection.
After I built a somewhat working solution, I noticed a crucial error and redid the whole thing by hand, from scratch
But when I searched online, I saw blogs with answers to the problems similar to mine, graciously written by humans who wanted to help the next person
I canβt keep it in so hereβs a sneak peek
I have spent my new yearβs week trying to build a personal PaaS on NixOS on a bare metal server for serving my personal projects (itβs currently on hold)
I leaned heavily on LLMs for writing Nix derivations, and for bouncing ideas. It helped for a while
Love this framing! βI can do it fasterβ but the point was never being fast. βAn agent can do it fasterβ is the same equation. We want to share knowledge, train and empower others, build relationships. We canβt afford to lose these.
Which one of the 10 different type checkers for python tho

I hadnβt seen part 2 yet, seems like power efficiency is 6x of GPU, which is a game changer if speed is usable for a given model.
Oh wait sorry, I missed that this project is all about training on ANE
Should be fine for inference only, which is my use case personally.
Is it faster than the GPU though? I remember reading on MLX issue board that this might not be the case. Happy to be wrong
Good riddance!
Another reminder that if you donβt compel companies to do something they wonβt do it.
I have a ton of stuff to do outside work, chores and hobbies alike. :/ Thanks for looking out for me tho!
I wish I had one (1) free day so I could write a blog post thatβs been living in my head for weeks. :(
A rare polydactyly representation!
If I could give my past self one advice, that would be: be wary of metaphors. They can be used by demagogues to easily create false equivalences and mislead people.
Be even more wary of the fun ones.
We were lucky to have our craft was useful to the capitalist needs, the moment it is not, the craft goes out of the window.
While I understand the AI hate and how itβs more streamlined to produce slop, how quickly we forgot things like content farms, SEO hacks and troll armies, all made by humans
Iβm a fan of queryOptions already, no need to have more abstraction over it!
I just backed ABIDE, an indie game with handmade dolls and stop motion animation.
I stopped using Kickstarter for many years but I made an exception for this game. With only a few days to go and so close to the goal, it felt like a good investment!

It was fun while our craft and industry requirements briefly aligned.
Iβm not talking solely about AI either, enshittification was already there before it came. But I see it as the last nail on the coffin.
I donβt have anything hopeful or smart to offer. I will process these thoughts and feelings.
This industry and productivity game sucked out the craft and fun of making software. Itβs why everythingβs so buggy now. And AI is the endgame.
Iβm privileged to be pursuing my passion, and you are too if you donβt care about money or lucky to find a good job. But I donβt like where it ends.
