Enjoying the change you voted for, Labour voters?
Enjoying the change you voted for, Labour voters?
Tbf they had anyway, but they've extra lost them now.
It looks like the Green Party has by far the best defence policy of all.
Renewable energy; wind, solar, wave and tidal power.
Renewables donβt get stuck or blown up in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Starmerrhoids have been absolutely raging the past couple of days.
Good. That means the upper echelons of the Liebour Party and their billionaire masters are rattled by the Green Menace. π
We have the money.
The change that Labour voters voted for.
National Front leaflet from the seventies
Fifty years ago the NF (significant initials) were making out everyone else was lying about them.
It's not just you. They've not been very active about preventing their own clergy being full of abusers so I'm not holding my breath.
Good luck and hope you don't.
They're not ahead of the impact of their multiple U-turns lol.
Why would we pay attention to Reeves's assessment of any economy?
Wait till he finds out what the public think about him. He'll become vegan and move to Hackney!
Image is a screenshot of a reasoned amendment to the Courts and Tribunals Bill. It is signed by SiΓ’n Berry, Hannah Spencer, Carla Denyer, Dr Ellie Chowns and Adrian Ramsay. It reads: That this House declines to give a Second Reading to the Courts and Tribunals Bill because it is an inadequate and dangerous response to the challenges faced by the courts; it does not provide the correct solutions to the chronic backlog of cases in the Crown Court; it would not address the long-term underfunding that has led to the degradation of court systems, infrastructure and buildings; it would limit the crucial civil liberty and constitutional protection of trial by a jury of oneβs own peers by removing defendantsβ right to elect the Crown Court for all triable either-way offences; this change would cover a range of protest-related offences, and because protest rights and free speech, which act as safeguards against authoritarianism, have already been eroded by this Government and should not be limited further; jury trials build public trust and confidence in the courts and act as a space of shared civic responsibility that builds social cohesion; more effective interventions could be implemented that do not roll back fundamental rights, including expanding the use of βblitz courtsβ, increasing the number of sitting days, removing from the system cases that are no longer in the public interest to prosecute, increasing investment in legal aid, improving court case management technology, and bringing in more efficient processes to ensure defendants are brought to court and to the dock on time; and removing rights to judgment by oneβs own peers may have the unintended consequence of increasing court backlogs through a rise in appeals.
π¨We have tabled an amendment to reject the Governmentβs sinister attempt to remove jury trials including for many protest related offences.
Our civil liberties have already been eroded by this Govt and should not be limited any further.
Greens are standing up against Labour's toolkit for tyrants.
They won't jump.
The prospect of facing reselection by the local party rather than being favoured by the national party would be daunting to the poor dears.
I think they wouldn't want to face reselection by the local Green Party in 2029 rather than three years of sucking up to Starmer and getting parachuted in against the will of local members lol.
The Green Group on Warwickshire County Council has tabled a Vote of No Confidence in Reform Leader, Cllr George Finch.
That would make me sob as well x
Let's hope this is a precedent!
It's hysterical the way the wrong wing press just keep making the Green Party look cooler and cooler.
Daily mail beware the green menace
Didn't expect Daily Mail to be doing free branding.
Lower bills, protect the NHS and fund public services.
Can imagine why Lord Rothermere isn't so keen....

Won't anyone think of the sephologists? π€
Don't cheer too soon, he's got time for a couple of U-turns before elevenses.
The UK doesnβt care, but thereβs this:

Ah thank you, that's exactly the sort of thing I was wondering about.
Starmer telling voters to judge him at the next election
Yes that's exactly the sort of thing I meant. Bizarre thing for a politician to say and he clearly doesn't like the results. Also... The next election for most people is May π
I think there's element of all 3 but he just keeps reminding me of a manager I had who was gagging for the job but fell apart very quickly. Our programme of malicious compliance got rid of her π
It was very funny wasn't it.
Speaking as a Green I second the latter part of this comment.
You're part of that settlement by being part of this neoliberal government.
If you were to resign the whip you could vote against the government but as you are you are whipped to vote with the government.
PS the Green Party doesn't have a whip.
Absolutely howling at the Starmerrhoids in the comments.
