Here are 2 collections of picture books that share diverse stories of immigration and refugee experiences. They are a beautiful reminder that immigrants are simply people who have come here for a multitude of reasons, bringing with them so much that enriches our communities and this country.

Sorry just realized you're already using B&R. 🫣 I think TL is great for the reading list and questions but that's about it. We do use many other subject specific curriculums to round it out. We're even doing a novel study from B&R 3 right now.
For the most part, yes. It's mostly a reading list/schedule sorta like Build Your Library but more modern books and diverse. I like B&R too but the layout and organization doesn't work as well for us. I'd look at a sample if you haven't yet. They're both great programs though.
Today's #libraryhaul... one was reserved for a curriculum read aloud for #torchlightcurriculum, the rest just seemed relevant or interesting. I love our small town library. 💝📚

Recent happy discovery.... Started using an app called Road Club and I've earned $5 each week just by driving safely. Was able to use $10 gift card from it to buy 3 books off Thriftbooks. I'm doing a no buy year but that doesn't count, in my book 🫣😆

Daily Science by Evan Moor, you can easily expand on each big idea with some books and videos. But all by itself it does the job well!
