Surely we’re due a refereeing howler in our favour
Surely we’re due a refereeing howler in our favour
Long may that continue
Elanga if trippier starts. Murphy if Tino starts.
Aye, it was lazy or stupid just standing a mile offside
Mostly in to channels going away from goal though.
Needs better movement in central areas, especially when we’re in good crossing positions.
Northern Italy vs southern Italy is a plausible explanation
To be fair, he is 56.
I think it’s the fatigue of too much football combined with disappointing results.
People will certainly care come kick off
As an example I would let Tonali go if we get a big bid and can replace him with Wharton.
Bit of a boring answer but it will depend on which players / positions we have lined up a replacement for. As well as the size of the bid.
As we saw with Isak a massive bid doesn’t mean a lot if you can’t spend it on a ready replacement.
The fact that we’re four and a half years into the takeover and these are goalkeeping options is incredible.
Pope had been abysmal though.
Feels realistic to me
He needed to buck up months ago. Club has left it too late to save the league season.
Can’t see us getting relegated though.
Fair enough, if you think he can turn it around given that extra time.
If you just think he deserves the chance to try, I disagree. Club comes before any individual, regardless of what they’ve achieved in the past.
100% and he’ll be a legend regardless of when he goes.
What’s the cut off for that being enough?
If he was getting anywhere near the best out of the squad I would agree. He isn’t and all this strategy will do is waste two seasons instead of one.
This is all true but it’s also not the main problem. We’ve had spells this season with near enough a fist choice team, and less intense schedules, and we were still awful in the league.
Depends on what sort of World Cup he has. Despite his struggles he’s still likely to be Germany’s starting striker.
Some hit as well
Has anyone checked what Mike Hooper is up to?
It wasn’t hard to imagine in November / December though. It had already gone wrong and it as obvious Eddie wasn’t going to be able turn it around.
Club sat on its hands and then didn’t support him in the transfer market either.
We’ll basically be starting again next season.
He ran out of ideas in December.
We left it too late and wasted a season
He’s a modern day Hugo Viana… technique for days but not suited to the team or league.
I don’t see how he can start in anything other than a 442 where he played slightly deeper than someone with pace.
The one thing I’m sure of is that the manager of the team is not, even a tiny bit, responsible.
It’s genuinely too late now.
He should have gone in December when it was clear that he couldn’t tune it around.
For some, he could put in another 3 seasons of this and still be backed
For some, it’s clearly unlimited.
Why are they a ‘brigade’ rather than just fans who might have a different opinion to you.
Nooooooo
That doesn’t sound like nick pope
Nothing out of the ordinary in the league
