I think about this Tony Benn speech much more than I used to
Honestly, AI slop PRs are becoming increasingly draining and demoralizing for #Godot maintainers.
If you want to help, more funding so we can pay more maintainers to deal with the slop (on top of everything we do already) is the only viable solution I can think of:

Calling this latest scratchbuild done for now. Towards the end of working on it I got a real 1/350 scale battleship kit and got a bit dismayed at the level of detail it had, so I didn't paint any detail or do any weathering. Still, looking forward to learning more on the next one! #miniaturepainting
Been working on this for a while and it feels like I'm nearly to the end of what I can learn from this scratchbuild. Once I get this finished and painted I should be able to start playtesting rules for the wargame I've been itching to make with two complete models. #wargaming #scratchbuilding

Finally got back to some scratchbuilding on stream and I made good progress on the latest airship. I have the main battery built but after putting it on the hull, it looks way too big. I'm thinking about replacing it with a mortar of some kind to make this a siege or support ship. #wargaming
A grid cubby system built out of black foam core board. It is installed on a desktop with a self-healing mat on it for building and painting miniatures.
It's been hard to get time and motivation to line up to do more scratchbuilding lately, so I spent the time I did have for #MinaturePainting related stuff on building some storage for my non-sheet styrene stock. It was tedious but I'm really happy to have it all organized now.
I figured I could learn more by continuing work on this thing so I put another couple of hours into it. I may do a little more tomorrow but I'm not entirely sold on the design. It could use a bridge tower and a main turret on top at the very least
Started off the new year with a ship scratchbuild on stream, though I only got 2/3 of the hull done. It's a ton of fun building your own #wargaming models but I'm quickly learning that I need to have a solid design in place to end up with something I can use. Next up will probably be a kit build

Figured I would post the result of my #scratchbuild attempt even though most of the work went into the inner frame which ended up kind of warped. I learned a lot about cutting accurately and bending sheets of material. Now I'm trying to decide if I greeble it up or start something new. #wargaming
Listening to music and experimenting with more scratchbuilding over on twitch. I'm trying to build a smaller airship using chipboard to learn the techniques before I move to styrene: twitch.tv/thaddeusmouse

A model airship suspended on a support stand. The model is built primarily out of foam and cardstock. It is painted dark blue with several white stripes. There are bright bronze hemispheres on the sides and top.
Spent a couple of hours on stream base coating my scratchbuilt airship. I still need to find my masking tape to help clean up the white stripes and add some big ship numbers. It also feels like I need another accent colour somewhere but I'm not sure what to add yet. #MiniaturePainting #Wargaming

I managed to only melt a tiny bit of the foam and learned a lot. I'm hoping I can pull off a halfway decent paint job to have my first test model for a game I'm working on.

A portrait of a male anthro mouse wearing blue coveralls, a red bandana tied around his neck, and a light blue, brimmed cap. The mouse is holding the leather brim of the cap with one hand and looking off into the distance.
Got my first piece of art for Thaddeus and I'm so pleased with it! It's by the incredible Alek Zender: vgen.co/alekzender
My photo shows a small brown figurine of a mouse sitting on its haunches, on top of a smooth rectangular base. Cast from bronze, the mouse leans slightly forward. Between its front paws is a piece of bread which it is lifting up to its long pointed snout as if nibbling at the food.
