to that point, excluding like, the jungle parts of sargon, i really like that i feel most arknights areas have a strong sense of flavor but aren't like. "yeah this is the 14th century still here, those guys are on the 28th century though"
idk it makes the world feel more alive if there's a bit of a diffusion rather than stark contrasting elements between This Area and That Area and That Other Area (etc)
like, i just feel like if not That Tech Specifically then something at least kind of similar developing from it. i know like, part of it is 'oh well they dont have magic so they compensate with x' but. magic as an excuse for the lack of technological updates kinda annoys me.
in so as far as it's sorta annoying how it looks like a normal ass city but none of that tech has diffused at all. other city states look like to be out of a different series entirely. and while yeah i guess you could fall back on garIeans having a strangehold on that tech it still kind of annoys me
admittedly im kind of just a hater but it does bug me in how i usually like, love 'Modern ass city but there's magic shit going on" but the screenshots of GarIemald I just saw kind of just annoy me.

That's the thing that I think is funny about the "Meta Commentary" angle is like. There's also just people that go "Oh yeah this is peak shounen/amazing writing held back by its genre" which. Kind of defeats the "Oh it's bad writing on PURPOSE to be a commentary on the genre" reading lmao.
Not gonna lie, making your follow up to an actually coherent plot just. Nothing really. Everything about it is worse than Part 1, I guess because it's all some meta-commentary. Or it's just Normal "Good Writing" for 95% of the characters to functionally not matter.
