Just gonna chime in here with a ditto. The Blacksky team is running entirely separate infrastructure that is in no way reliant on BS, & has even made it available to folks not part of the Blacksky community. I moved here & I love it & I contribute to it. You can (and probably should!) do the same. 👍

My “bluesky” is actually a myatproto acct run on blackskyweb.xyz and I absolutely contribute to blacksky monthly to support.

blacksky.community runs completely independently from Bluesky although it integrates with and builds on their work (the Authenticated Transfer Protocol aka atproto)

@blackskyweb.xyz as a company is supported by voluntary members subscriptions.
