What's in the Senate Version of Trump's Big Policy Bill? (Gift Article) The legislation includes tax cuts as well as big cuts to Medicaid, food benefits and other programs, and it would add more than $3 trillion to the national debt.

The nastiest provision I've seen here is the proposal to save $23B by ending requirements for minimum staffing at nursing homes. Anyone who's worked in or had a loved one live in a nursing home knows just how unconscionable this is.

I can see how some Dem voters who feel powerless might feel like Independents somehow have more sway.
