Like those tubes! With little reflector wings (that kept falling off). I mean, I kind of janked the whole thing together, but since I only use it a few weeks a year ... But it's a handy mini greenhouse, and watching things sprout is very cheerful.
Also, I should think about starting tomatoes ...

I have a dear friend who wrote about hunting and fishing for YEARS and has zero sense of direction. Driving with him in the South of France was hilarious. We'd get in a roundabout and I had the map on my lap and he'd start yelling in panic, which would continue a few miles after choosing an exit. Oy

I have that one! I had heated seedling mats that fit the shelves, so that was handy. And I had some 3' long LED grow lights so I put them vertically on each side. Not ideal, but it worked.
LED lights are great, and not too spendy. You should be able to buy short ones to hang off the shelves too.

God it's sunny and 40 degrees here in Livingston today. We haven't seen snow on the ground in town all winter.

Only time I got big lost was in Dublin in my 20s. Somehow the 3 blocks between the bus station and our house became an hour and a half of wandering streets that had become totally unfamiliar. I blame the fairies.

It's hugely useful! They're great tools, which is why I've been trying to get him to use one for years.
He's just enormously stubborn, and not ADHD at all, which is very weird for me since I'm by far the least neurodiverse person in my family. (He get's so frustrated with me interrupting. Sigh).

My mother and grandmother, any movie with horses, would bicker over how many horses played the main horse (they were both horse show judges).

Yes, there's a war, but I have tiny greens coming up under my plastic hoop houses in the back yard. It's WAY too early, but if the sun is going to shine, I guess I'm goin to grow stuff.

I remember going as a little tiny kid to see a friend of my parents on the movie screen who did the riding in a movie called "The Horse with the Flying Tail." Also the horse, who my parents knew.

No! It's why I couldn't get him to use it at all. He hates all that geek shit. He really didn't want to be surveilled (don't blame him). He's been horn hunting this country for decades, so the concern is bears, or getting accidentally hurt. And since I've lost people unexpectedly, I worry.

My beloved has agreed to use the Garmin I got him. I set the tracker to just ping once an hour, and it's kind of cool to get to see where he is (even though he HATES it). But he's in his 60s, hiking off trail, alone, and the bears are coming out. We managed to convince him that safety is, well, safe

See also Ceausescu. Itβs a good time to study nationalist dictators and the monster in every flag. Schmittian exceptions have a natalist wing, again.

That's why I moved to MT when it was cheap. I wanted a house I could pay off (and I did). I spent decades trying to keep my indigent mother housed. That I had to do it this way is not ideal. And that everyone younger than me is locked out is a crime.

I mean, ours has been in the family since the 1860s, and only supports itself, but not my Aunt/cousins because we built a riding arena, grow our own hay and sell it to the boarders. We are all deeply invested in it, but off-farm jobs are required.
