Absolutely. But that isn't enough to convince some people to get engaged. Like, yes, solidarity and intersectionality always (and some people don't even get *those* ideas) but I'm just shocked sometimes that stopping cruelty isn't enough on its own.

We should be vigorously opposing these laws and policies because they are cruel and dehumanizing, not just because 'you could be next'.

If that's the argument that gets people off the bench fine, but it should be like the third or fourth thing mentioned if we're being honest.
