For long list of bird names, good point I shall constrain the species list height. It can definitely get long and look weird with a lot of white space. Thanks again, I appreciate the feedback!
Would be cool if #MerlinBirdApp @birdsoftheworld.bsky.social released their image model or an API
Agree, image species detection could be ideal however, there’s technical limitation - I don’t have access to a reliable bird species classification model. There's some open-source but only achieves a small subset of 512 species detection, too small to be useful for Birdsky with 11k potential species
You’re right I can see that, I shall add a settings option for only scientific/both/off
• Added scientific names ✅
• Translated to Finnish and other languages ✅
I appreciate the great feedback! 🙏🏼 Will be added to the next Birdsky update.
Feel free to share any other issues or ideas

Would be an honor! Cheers!
Thank you!! It’s displaying content with custom filtering, it actually has a Bsky custom feed as well:
bsky.app/profile/arth...
I have a set of servers running a machine learning model to analyze Bsky photos in real-time, determining if it is a bird. Doing some other processing on text as well
And shout-out to the original custom bird feed creator 🙏🏼 @daryllmarie.bsky.social
