Here are the basics for EV charging. Two important terms are often confusing: kWh and kW. Kilowatt hours, kWh, are stored in your car battery. It’s similar to how many gallons of gas are in your fuel tank. Most EVs hold between 50 and 100 kWh. Milage varies by car and weather. kilowatts, kW, are a measure of how fast your car charges. Are you using a home charger that charges at a slow speed, like the soda straw in the example? Or are you using a fast charger - more like a fire hose? There are a couple of other terms worth knowing about. It’s the difference between alternating current, AC, and direct current, DC. Cars run on DC, direct current, but homes operate on AC. Your cell phone charger plugs into an AC outlet and is converted from AC to DC. Same with your car. The exception for car charging is the ability for some cars to charge faster using direct current.
That beauty weapon sounds dangerous! Be careful.

See if you can get an exception for narrower roads. Wide roads are for suburbs. They take up land, cost more to build and service. Wide roads also cause longer sewer, water, and electric lines.

I watched the video and I don’t understand much of what is being presented. However he has the expertise to describe the situation. This beats all the silly conspiracy theories about what happened. We need experts like this and we need to trust them.
The mandolin is my most dangerous kitchen gadget. I lost the instructions that I never read, gave it away, and now I’m getting complaints from former friends that my pickled red onions are uneven in size. My real friends are more forgiving. C’est la vie.
Here’s a personal anemone example. I had access to a number of wind anemometers to measure wind speed. I had no idea where the name came from. As you pointed out, ANEMOS is an Ancient Greek term. I had Anemones in my garden. A sea Anemone is a daughter of the wind. Love connecting these together!
From your discussion of anemone, it struck me like a bolt of lightning why I enjoy “Words Unraveled“ so much! It connects the good things about human history and our common humanity.
Here in Colorado I bought some lavender plants only to find they were sterile. they produce flowers but seeds would not grow. I went back to a friend I gave plants to and they supplied me with some small lavender plants. Since then I’ve learned how to create new plants from cuttings
Came across wild lavender fields in southern France. Three houses and two states later, I’m still growing lavender. A real favorite!
Teen apprentices at Spy Hop learned about the Great Salt Lake through a partnership with local journalists and experts via the Great Salt Lake Collaborative. It was funded through Salt Lake City Arts Council's Wake the Great Salt Lake program.
In a southern France restaurant they recommended gizzard salad, a specialty of the region. Not appetizing is an understatement. It was a terrible meal. Gizzards are a byproduct of making foie gras. Back in the US I started at Dinner Group called “Jamais de Foie” - Never Liver.
