The appeal of J-idols (and vtubers to an extent) to me isn't necessarily the quality of the end result but the journey leading up to it (and remembering them when you hear a song or watch a live).

LL was...just something that permanently changed my brain chemistry LMAO. Not so much the game itself but being introduced to the live concerts and the actual VAs behind the girls. That was when I really fell into J-idol culture I love them!!! I love watching them work so hard!!!

A little rambling about KHII and LL in particular... I played KHII before I (just because of availability) and it was the first time that I really saw games as more than just "fun thing to play". I wanted to go into game dev and I think it was the first time I was "serious" about a potential career.
