A double espresso in Central London is less expensive than in Amsterdam. I never thought I would see the day. Many thanks to KLM for getting me to City Airport early so I could stuff around and drink multiple coffees and enjoy a catch-up before going into the office.

If there is competent management that invests in education, continuous improvement, and feedback, and monitors utilisation, people don't worry about the security of their employment. @stevekinlan.bsky.social Everyone must justify their employment daily by doing the best job possible. This requires management support for training, continuous feedback and open and honest dialogue. I inherited a laundry list of problems two months ago, which doesn't include busy-work. 😅

Thus, the benefit of exercises like this.

I organised a clandestine breach of the corporate network using our trusted vendor to exploit the known vulnerabilities. It was an interesting exercise. Many lessons were learned that will be translated as teaching moments for the team. What a day!

After a very sad finish last season, it is great to see the mighty Collingwood Magpies kicking the arse of the dreadful St Kilda mob. They let loose the mongrel during Q1. C'mon!

The Campbell Soup people allowed the castle to burn a few times. They aren't fit owners.
