A panel from Imperial Guardians #1 by Dan Abnett, Marcelo Ferreira, Jay Leisten and Rachelle Rosenberg depicting Gamora and Darkhawk attacking Kree soldiers
Very excited to see Darkhawk on a regular basis again (even if only for 5 months). He gets some nice focus in Imperial Guardians #1, on-sale now.
Buy yourself a copy to send a message that New Warriors fans are still out here!
Oh definitely! But then that's kind of his thing.
Didn't get a chance to post about this on Monday but Mark Bagley cancelled his appearance at this weekend's Pop Culture Con near Houston, Texas. He then addressed concerns over his health and his shift away from drawing interior pages.
The New Warriors Newsfeed has more:
A page from Nova volume 2 #1 of Gladiator throwing a whole train at Nova
I always loved this page. Seems kind of like a callback to the New Warriors first appearance in Thor when Nova and Namorita threw train cars at Juggernaut.
They must not have opened up a location hear him yet

Nova has a new lease on life and more power than ever! Now he just needs a job to pay the bills.
Super Hero Squad Nova
2009 was a sweet spot for toy shopping with my son. And I was super excited for this figure to be his first introduction to Nova (seen here with Annihilus) adding to our steadily growing Marvel Super Hero Squad collection. Hours of fun playing!

Funko Pop! Nova figure (2019)
I chose to skip this 2019 Previews Exclusive Nova Prime figure from Funko when it was first released. But eventually I gave in and tracked one down, as well as the Funko variant cover featuring Nova on Guardians of the Galaxy #7.

Yes, Iβm religious. I believe in the Holy Trinity.
083 - Nova
I like the idea of showing Nova flying out of a city vs. dropping him into a space setting. Nice zag.

Whatβs the extra piece? A set of googly eyes for when Devastator smashes him?
Ah Andrew Wildman!
I love how Storm and Gambit are freaking out, but Jubilee is just annoyed at the power-dampening collar

I know some of you follow me just for these posts. If I can find a way to bring the posts back I will because I enjoy doing them when I can actually pull the info I want. In the meantime, I'm going to brainstorm on a new daily post theme I can do. Sorry...
As one example, this week I have nothing from Dark Horse, and they have been too significant a publisher since the 1980s to just omit entirely. I don't want to just post Marvel and DC covers because the industry is so much more than that.
I hate to say it, but I have to put my "released on xx years ago this week" posts on hiatus. It's become too difficult to get the kind of diverse choices I want due to the inconsistent recording of release dates (vs. cover dates).

New Warriors in spaaaaaaaaace!
It actually makes me not want to be online. I'm getting sick of spending so much time deciphering what is real and what isn't.

Nova #17 Pg 11 by Wellinton Alves
Since yesterday was an original art commission, we will make a weekend of it by using Sundays for original comic book pages. I really like this one for the long cinematic panels and the facial expressions of Rich and his brother Robbie.
#Nova50thAnniversary 66/166
To my fellow oldheads, sorry for the loss of nostalgia. Hopefully we'll make up for it with some fun comics from 2006 to reminisce about starting next Sunday.
I may switch my Sunday editions of "Released xx years ago this week" from 50 to 20 years ago.
I can't access mikesamazingworld for release dates anymore, and dates on comics.org and leagueofcomicgeeks.com aren't consistent enough in the 1970s, and very meager for non-Marvel/DC of the time.
