Well, I was already following you, so not completely.
New phone or computer? Your autocomplete history probably didn't sync over. Once you've typed www.fec.gov, typing fec should bring up the www version.
Some servers are not configured to treat domain.tld the same was as www.domain.tld. This appears to be the case - www.fec.gov is returned in the search result. fec.gov without www. isn't configured on the server. It's rare now, but was common at one time.
