Hey Baton Rouge and New Orleans folks, I think we’re ready to start looking for a home for Patches. He’s a sweet little guy, neutered, got his rabies and FeLV shots, and he’s a big fan of inside life. He’s FIV+, but I think he can be integrated with FIV- cats with training and supervision.
Tweet Claude Code wiped our production database with a Terraform command. It took down the DataTalksClub course platform and 2.5 years of submissions: homework, projects, and leaderboards. Automated snapshots were gone too. In the newsletter, I wrote the full timeline + what I changed so this doesn't happen again. If you use Terraform (or let agents touch infra), this is a good story for you to read.

I think a lot of western fans have an inflated sense of how much say we have as a secondary market and in the few examples where a production IS explicitly for the western market I honestly don't think they're very good
People who think there are more slop anime now than there were 20-30 years ago are simply unaware of how much slop there was back then because far less of it ever made it out of Japan.
I think the 2020s are maybe the best time for anime since the 90s. We've got actual animation and visual style experimentation (gachiakuta, dan da dan), subtler stories (odd taxi, frieren), better representation of complex ideas (journal with witch, gnosia), more niche stuff (skullface honda-san)
