Military airplanes in a 2022 airshow. I believe an F35 and an F22 are the photographed airplanes.
FRIDAY!! Done with all the work, servers and technological geek stuff. Getting ready to put on my #avgeek hat and go see #airplanes tomorrow!!! #aviation
Lawrence Systems talks about one of my favorite platforms for virtual Linux desktops, remote desktops, VNC or SSH, all inside your browser, and disposable/sandboxed browser sessions: KASM Workspaces www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbtG...

IIRC @rachel.transitory.social.ap.brid.gy moved her services to k8s some months back, not sure though, but maybe she has some insights that may help you.
One of the smartest and smallest kvm over IP Iβve ever used. Highly recommended.

Why did you migrate away, and what did you migrate to? I mean I'm happy with Proxmox, but always keeping an eye out for new things.
You got a new follower now. #Homelabs Unite! πͺπ€£π€£
That's true, it's funny how when Google Glass came out 1500 sounded like so much money and now we pay that for a phone every few years.
Thanks for the perspective though, I think I might just pull the trigger on some of the newer glasses to upgrade my Xreal 1st gen. Lol
I like the concept, but I also like the full face displays (like Xreal) but I can't justify buying both. I'm sure we'll have some sort of combined functionality in the future, where I can get wireless notifications at anytime, but I can also plug them into my phone or computer to get a full display.
Since Google Glass, the dream has been to move notifications organically up to eye level. Vuzix says the Z100 is a dev kit, but it's a really well polished experience.

So, why aren't more tech enthusiasts trying smartglasses?

Hi Bluesky! π
As a company devoted to blocking annoying ads, we're happy to join a social network without any.
Wolvic Chromium 1.1 adds WebXR AR support to the open-source standalone XR browser, after 1.0 added eye tracked navigation:
Quest 2 and Quest 3 now have an experimental Travel Mode to make their positional tracking work on airplanes: www.uploadvr.com/meta-quest-t...
Meta is "reworking some of the core UI infrastructure" of Quest to improve 2D app positioning & multitasking:

The Quest 3 headset got FCC regulatory approval ahead of launch.
The filing confirms it supports 6GHz Wi-Fi 6E.

Aww he didn't mean to, I believe him. Look at that face! Absolutely innocent! LOL
Meta will demo two new prototypes next week: a varifocal headset with near-retinal resolution, and a reprojection-free passthrough headset.
UploadVR plans to go hands-on with both.

Finally took the step and deleted my Twitter account. The move to decentralized social networks its full on. Instagram is next to go... and eventually Reddit, but a lot of the vendor supported or heavily used communities are still not on other platforms, so it'll have to wait.
Blue Sky is so very much better than Threads. This gives me hope.

Just getting started here, I guess I'll introduce myself, I am a tech geek passionate about aviation, selfhosting, virtualization, virtual reality (VR AR MR XR all interest me). After the recent social media shift I found myself becoming interested in federated decentralized social media as well.
Augmented Reality for ALL of us!

I'm partnering with XREAL to show off the new BEAM AR adapter.
Folks frustrated that an iPhone or Pixel doesn't support AR glasses, the XREAL BEAM adds AR to ANY computer you connect it to!
