Productive evening in the darkroom making 4x6 postcard prints (using my own 4x6 Simpleasel of course). All of these are destined for the mail!

Scanned 1 of the rolls of film from our NY trip. Lots of darkroom printables on this one! This is just a little teaser.

We took a couple days off from 3D printing n' laser cutting to travel into the winter storm to brave the weather and, after 5 attempts over a number of years, finally see the @colbertlateshow.bsky.social ! It was so worth it! We'll be back at servicing orders in a few days. Thanks for your patience!
Our new hybrid laser-cut/3d-printed easel, the 11x14 Snapsel, is finally available worldwidel folks! You can find it on our direct store (bitbybitphoto.com). Sorry it took so long to sort out the shipping!

I was fortunate enough to be one of the beta testers for this. It's finally out!

Derek doesn't mess around when it comes to details. Want to get into film/paper tests and some densitometry? Now's the time!

Update on the 11x14 Snapsel! We did some packing tests tonight and it'll be available very soon! We did encounter unexpected shipping costs with shipping International though so it may be a little bit until we're able to ship these worldwide. We think was have a solution though.

I am very happy to announce that J Lane Dry Plates testing is complete and we will be taking orders via the online shop beginning November 25th! www.pictoriographica.com
Speed improved to ASA 8
Pricing remains the same as it has been ever since 2017.
I don't often mention my band here as I try to avoid controversy given I make photo accessories for folks. But I'm very proud of how the song cover turned out!
Shot on Ektar 100 on my Chamonix 45F2 and Wollensak Velostigmat 150mm uncoated lens.

Good evening of developing! Testing out the 10 sheet version of my 4x5 tilted drying rack too!
2 sheets of Ortho, 2 of IR 400, and 1 J Lane speed plate.
Speaking of, @pictoriographica.bsky.social hope more plates are coming soon!?

I actually moved down a size for these :) Largest I've made this far is 11x14. These are 9.5x12. Made for a friend I'm having try these out for a final round of testing before I finally launch these as a product. Same design though. I expect the basic design and approach should for many sizes.
Freshly laser-cut and engraved MDF for the next batch of prototype/pre-production laser cut easels.

Yep! The 15mm is incredible, but it's underwater only (it's unusably blurry above water). It also can't take filters. But the hybrid lenses are great too and also very sharp above or below. The III is also well regarded as being easy to maintain and more reliable too.
I don't have a III, but I do have a V (uses the same lenses). While it'd be wise to have it checked over if you plan on taking it underwater, many of the lenses work above and below water. Under water the lenses are _incredibly_ sharp. Congrats on the camera!

I've had folks asking me when am I going to make a scanning solution for the CS Lite like I have for the Raleno S116 and well...

I'm hoping it's similar to the larger papers and expect it would be for RC paper. You would align the paper to the markings on the easel and then lower the top. Fiber might require holding it with your hand while doing so to prevent it from moving around.
Freshly lasered 2nd 11x14 prototype base. This one has additional paper markings. I need to make sure they don't print through but the idea is being able to use the same base with multiple paper sizes by having different sized tops.

Apologies for the bumps on our webstore the past couple of days. Been working on making things faster and more reliable but broke some stuff along the way. I think things are mostly sorted now, thanks for everyone's patience!
Testing out our laser cut 11x14 easel! I made both an RC and fiber print with it last night. Works great!

Scuba diver swimming out of a top exit point out from the body of the C-53 sunken ship.
So far my favorite photo (of the ones I've developed) from our trip to Cozumel last week.
Taken with a Nikonos V with the 15mm lens using T-Max 400 and developed in XT-3 replenished.
Really excited to print this one properly in the darkroom!

Freshly cut easel base from a 1/4" MDF plank still sitting on the laser cutting bed.
My latest 11x14 prototype easel base using 1/4" MDF. The thicker MDF is to add heft to the base - it worked! I need to tweak the 3D printed parts for the thicker base among other things but progress was made tonight!

35mm negatives hanging to dry
First round of black and white film from our scuba trip to Cozumel drying! Negatives look good by eye - glad I did the film tests.
My H&D curve of T-Max 400 in XT-3R for 9:15 at 20C
Nailed it! Only had to do one film test for T-Max 400 in my XT-3 Replenishment. For me, 9:15 is basically spot on. I even got within reach of calculating ISO (392). I've never gotten that close on the first try!

Back from vacay and processing orders! We had lots of orders coming in last week so do bear with us while we work through those. Delivery estimates reflect this so keep an eye on those.
Heading to blue water for some diving with the Nikonos V! See ya'll in a week!

A small tease :) I suspect 11x14/12x16 will require additional tweaks, but this is the CAD for what the 8x10 design looks like simply scaled up to 12x16 dimensions.
One likely change is the location of the finger notches since it's easier to pull the top up from the long side.
I think 12x16 is within the realm of reason. My goal is at least 16x20. Shipping/logistics becomes the bigger issue at the larger sizes I haven't evaluated yet. The basic design/approach though I think should be able to go rather large.
