this culture makes hobbies less fun, more expensive and multiples times more expensive and the people who created this environment will turn around and try to explain to you that the suffering through the conditions that they created on purpose counts as a job
can't tell you how many times I've seen the scalper argument "ermm excuse me it's actually very hard to wait in line for six hours YOU didn't want to do it" and it's like yea dumbass the lines are like that because more than half of is YOU
not opening the boosters until Claire's home from work but we're starting out strong with the starters
It's been too long inject them into me
It is very easy to read statements like this as a joke.
This is not a joke.
We have proven with AI, completely by accident, what knowledgeable people have been saying for decades: the environment that rich people live in gives them a very specific personality disorder.
I've noticed when I talk to normies at shops there seems to be an idea that Bandai is this little rinkydink niche company just trying their best because they can't comprehend that a group of their actual size could be this incompetent
today's supposed to be a huge Dragon Ball Fusion World release day but because Bandai accidentally told the distributors the wrong release date and didn't correct them until this morning almost noone has their stock in yet, just the best company for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
none of this is a dealbreaker and the portrayals work for the show they're doing, but I feel like I like the *cast* more than I like the characters if you catch what I'm pitching
it's not an issue now...but I feel like their version of Water 7 isn't going to hit the same with these characters
Nami stands out from many of the other Cool Shonen Girls because on top of the obvious positive points she's also allowed to be stupid, mean or cowardly when the situation calls for it, LA version trims a lot of that off and too often she's left as the big sister rolling her eyes at the silly men
OG One Piece is filled with wholesome moments but the importance is there's emotional sincerity across the whole spectrum, they're pirates with their own sharp edges and a new crew that is comically unprepared for the journey they started so they fuck up all the time
I see criticisms of certain actors and characters from the One Piece LA, I halfway agreed with that concerning the LA version of Luffy from S1 but now after seeing both seasons I do think there's a broader issue that the vibe of the show is too chummy to capture all of the characters' nuances
one page rpg:
winston churchill vs one otter
you are winston churchill at 90 years of age, and you have been confronted by a single otter. you have four moves: alcohol, genocide by starvation, speeches, and being mean to guests at dinner. the otter has one move, which is to bite you in the ass
I've watched a few of Taz Skylar's vlogs which I'm not going to share myself cos he keeps putting cringe AI comics in the middle of them *bonk* but amount of extracurricular effort he puts in is bananas, dude committed to becoming Sanji in real life
A game full of whimsy and joy :)
Funi Raccoon Game is out TOMORROW.
the answer to the question "did One Piece need a live action version" is always going to remain no but since there was no stopping one we couldn't have realistically rolled any higher on mixing People Who Want It To Be Good with Shitbags of Money
#ONEPIECE
yea they mostly do away with the "don't worry he's using the back side of his swords!!" thing in the live action which turns one particular scene in S2 into an atrocity ahahaha
one thing I find kind of bizarre is there's swearing in it and it doesn't fit tonally at all and alienates it from family viewing for no reason, Sanji will have an imaginary kung fu fight with a cartoon hamster and then say "are you FUCKING kidding me????"
"Why are younger players gravitating toward retro titles - and how should studios respond to this trend?"
Heroes III is the top-selling retro game on GOG... and almost half of buyers are under the age of 25.
GOG's theory: for younger generations that grew up with Minecraft and Roblox, graphical/technical fidelity *does not matter*, which is a huge market shift #GDC2026
One Piece live action S2 kicks ass so far but one change they made means there's now 0% chance they're gonna do one of my favourite fights in the whole series so afraid I have no choice but to fill my diaper to the brim
we are livin our livesssssss

sorry if Pragmata isn't a banger I'm going back to calling them Crapcom, it's 2012 baby fire up PlayStation All Stars for some early Donte action and prepare for groundbreaking Revelaitons
WAIT how do we make Mega Man Same Thing Again But No Number This Time As There's Too Now Too Many of These to Admit In The Title And We've Already Done Two Nostalgia Reboots even cheaper to make so it's as low risk as possible??
*Wesker voice* ...unions....
*
NGL part of why I can't cosign the RE9 "confronting the past for the sake of the future" read is this is a company that unironically released a game called "Mega Man 11" and despite it being successful it took them 8 years to follow up with "Mega Man Same Thing Again But No Number This Time"
estrogen is magic 🩷
do feel like Capcom's anti-union practices are weirdly brushed off lol
A broken, blue heart
With a broken Blue Bomber heart, I am no longer the voice of Mega Man.
I was asked to return for Mega Man: Dual Override, but only on the condition I work without the protections of a union contract.
