Have you read any current AI novels? Do they have any obvious errors? I have not read any. I've heard some AI music and it is passable as forgettable pop music which I believe is the equivalent to what we are describing here with literature.

@kibblesmith.com Thanks for the head's up on Strip Law. I often find myself shaking my head and just marveling that this thing has been created. A welcome diversion in these times.
Right on. That makes sense. Cheaper than what they pay humans now. But if the overlords are to be believed, having your computer create your entertainment should be available to anyone who can afford the AI subscription in the near future.
Perhaps AI slop might not be profitable for long.
Can you explain to me why someone who goes through the effort to describe what they want in customized literature can't do this themselves with the AI? Honest question. Is there some advanced skill in creating what you describe?
But what do you mean by market? That people will pay someone else to use AI to produce a book that they themselves could use AI to write?
If you mean there is demand for it, I agree. But there is infinite supply which normally brings down the price.
I know. They just want to be entertained. So, my point is, if they can be entertained by AI fiction, why would they pay for it? Your formerly lucrative genre is now available for free on demand and you can even "write it" yourself.
I don't know the answer but I'm curious why people who are willing to read AI fiction would have any standards at all. Seems like the value of that type of writing would quickly go to zero. If "close enough and entertains me" is all you care about, that will be available for free.
How long will they be lucrative if I can just have it write my own "novel" whenever I want? Should I pay you or should I tell my AI to read the book you want me to pay you for and "write something like that, but with more birds"
Every shale oil field in America is in decline. One thing we can be confident about is that if the oil industry didn't invest in something when it was booming, it ain't gonna do it while things are in decline.
CNN headline "does trump even know what's happening in Iran?"
Instills confidence....
It doesn't make sense for a few reasons. I wouldn't be surprised if the EIA was encouraged to make this optimistic update.
A few days ago US oil producers said they would not be increasing production. The EIA is saying they will.
Either way, the oil isn't there to increase production.
"Lower prices in 2027 mostly reflect more associated natural gas production as a result of the recent increase in oil prices and the related increase in production later in the forecast."
Magical thinking from EIA.
Wow. The EIA just made some insane updates to their forecasts. Apparently this war means, lower gas prices in the US and a big increase in oil production.
"The Henry Hub spot price averages nearly $3.90/MMBtu in 2027, 12% lower than our forecast last month."
Texas is leading the country in building out solar wind and storage.
But, please, don't let me stop you from making investment decisions based on things the dancing guy said.
Former Dancing with the Stars contestant offers wildly ignorant take on reality.
"Perry pointed to Mississippi and Texas as states positioned to "get ahead" by simplifying the process of building traditional baseload β oil, gas, and coal β while championing nuclear as the long-term solution."
"Winston Churchill supposedly said that 'generals always prepare to fight the last war.' I think of that a lot when I look at what the U.S. is currently doing with its military and energy policy."
Great to see the issue of unreclaimed oil & gas wells getting the attention of federal NDP leadership candidates. Learn more about Mark's story and MAGA Energy below π
Yes. I've argued for some time nuclear isn't a viable option for various reasons but the one that matter is economics. It's far too expensive. Solar, wind, hydro and storage are the solutions.
Well no one is building those any time soon so if you want to get off fossil fuels, the way is to use the current low cost and most effective options.
βThereβs been a massive wave of fossil fuel nostalgia in Brussels,β said Thomas Pellerin-Carlin, a Socialist lawmaker in the European Parliament. βThe only way for us to achieve energy security is to get out of fossil fuels. We need to understand itβs the road to serfdom, otherwise.β
He gets it.
Last month the major LNG buyers in India said that they would need prices of $6/mmBtu to increase their buying by a significant amount. Renewables and coal are cheaper than that.
Now they are paying $20/mmBtu. Should speed up the renewables transition.
Trump continues to bring countries together. India and China, for instance.
Is there any Trump policy that isn't benefitting China?
Yes they are. Should be able to limit them as green H2 production can be done where it is needed instead of needed global infrastructure for production, processing and transportation where many of the methane emissions occur. However, we should not allow H2 venting, like we do CH4, for sure.
Worth considering. Current hydrogen production (about half of which goes to fertilizer) uses 6% of the world's methane and contributes 2% of CO2 emissions and an unquantified amount of methane emissions.
Replacing methane in fertilizer production is a big climate win too.
India makes fertilizer from expensive imported LNG that just got a lot more expensive. They already heavily subsidize this.
As the world is learning that most fertilizer is made from methane (natural gas/LNG) it will be interesting if the discussion of making fertilizer from green hydrogen (localized production using water and electricity) gets more attention.

Wait until the vibe investors figure this out.
