Sounds about right. But you never know. Shuri is now obsessed with a bed that has been sitting in my room for years.
I know I have been silent. I just needed a break. There is so much going on, and I find it hard to keep up. I don't know how professionals do it.

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! As a Puerto Rican woman, this years celebration is especially important to me as Spanish people are being kidnapped by masked individuals. And now with SCOTUS' ruling, simply looking Spanish will make you a target. Never forget, diversity is what makes us great.
The Library at Hufflehouse presents: Back to Hogwarts—our annual back-to-school event. There will be books. There will be general school supplies. There will be Hogwarts House Sorting. It should be fun.

I must admit, I am crying at the thought of what this bill will do to the country. And within these tears is the fear of what ICE will now be able to get away with due to the additional power the bill gives them. I was barely safe before & now it's only going to get worse.

Puerto Rico is looking to separate itself from the US, and as a Puerto Rican, I am all for it. Read my latest blog post with my thoughts on the matter. Also, a new store category has been added. Check it out!
In 1917, Congress passed the Jones Act, granting citizenship to Puerto Ricans. All this regime has to do is write one EO to put a bigger target on our backs. And now with SCOTUS' ruling, birthright citizenship to any Puerto Rican born in the states could be stripped.
That includes me and my family.
SCOTUS just made a horrifying decision in terms of Planned Parenthood, simply because the GOP can't get their heads out of women's uteruses. This decision will have dire consequences, especially for low-income patients.
Its not easy being a little free library steward, but with this regime, its even more important now that we keep our library in tip top shape.

My anxiety in large crowds prevented us from attending this past protest, but we wore resistance shirts in support. I also discussed the protest in my latest HopefullyMAD blog post.

What the actual fuck!? The only students who would be mensurating are cis-girls and trans-boys. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason that a school band would need to know this information. I don't care what "excuse" they have. This is about control. This is about humiliation. This is about power. Period!
Every month, we decorate our library @hufflehouse.com and our lawn with a specific theme. June is Pride Month cause we believe that everyone deserves to be themselves.

Me too! It's bullshit. I hate the fact that I am now forced to carry proof beyond my Real ID, and have a plan in place with my husband, just in case. I am basically living in fear every time I step out of my house.
As ICE snatchings escalate even more, a need has arisen to carry papers showing proof of citizenship. This will mostly come in the form of a certified birth certificate. Check out my post to read my thoughts on this matter.

The family came here legally. They are not criminals. They are not "illegals." They were granted entrance for the sole purpose of saving this little girl's life. And this regime is taking that opportunity away from them. She will die in Mexico.

There are people who see a 75 year old working & think they're too old, but then vote for someone who's older. Its crazy. I think there should be limits because they create policies that can effect people after their gone. If they're not going to be here for them, they shouldn't be creating them.

This is disgusting. What this family is going through is uncalled for. The so-called "Pro-life" GOP is forcing this family to keep this poor woman alive. Will they pay the medical bills from this? Will they pay to ensure the baby has a good life? The answer is No.

Broadway in Boston Adventure: Kimberly Akimbo. I didn't expect to be taken back to high school in New Jersey in the 90s as a Show Choir kid at a skating rink.
