Yesterday I had some unexpected time off. I've been working a huge amount lately as I've got so much on in November, and haven't taken much time for myself.

It was a beautiful day, so my husband and I went for a walk at our local National Trust place. I didn't realise quite how much I needed that.

My latest cast on is a bit of an experiment, turning a stranded cowl chart into a double knit cowl. The circle of knitting is sitting on a pale cushion. It displays both sided of a reversible cowl in pinks and oranges on one side, a dark blue on the other.

Not quite a Friday finish for my beanie, but it's done now, and I am v pleased with it! Lashed together from a couple of charts of the Cherishing Every Aspect of Life sweater, creating a useful swatch, this is a colourwork beanie using @bluebellyarns.co.uk 's lovely yarns. It still needs blocking.

That's exactly the feeling I was going for! I don't know if you saw but I did a set of Autumn colourways using greens and reds too for the different stages.

I started dyeing the semi-solids to pair up with variegateds like this but surprisingly few people use them that way.

I love how you paired Autumn Forest with an orange for Samhain, it makes it feel even more autumnal.

Autumn Forest was a bit of an exception to the yellow rule, it turned out to be more popular which is lovely, and means it'll be back at some point!

That's so lovely, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to know people enjoy my yarn so much 😊

When you do get to release it with the original pictures let me know, I'll see if I can find a similar yarn base to dye up a few skeins in case anyone wants to make it in the original colour.

Unfortunately yellows don't get much love so I don't dye them very often at the moment.

A yellow poncho-type shawl is displayed on a white display model, standing in front of a slatted wooden gate. The shawl has radiating columns of large eyelets, with lace ladders in between. It's wide neckline is meant for casual summer wear. The wind is just picking up the exaggerated points of the edge of the shawl and making it dance.

A few years ago I designed and knit Solstice in a bright vibrant yellow lace handdyed by @bluebellyarns.co.uk The pattern was subsequently bought and published by KnitPicks, but once I have the rights again I'll self-publish with the original photos because I love the yellow so much!

There's a whole line of them. Right in the area of road that gets driven over most, often by huge lorries.

This has happened so often, I wonder why someone hasn't questioned the repair method, location, or simply why this is happening so often.
