For those who hate that I did an interview with Kevin Roberts, I hope you listen to it. Frankly, he hung himself on his own petard. Most of his answers were vacuous or worse. Why not expose this rather than merely hate it. I agree about Roberts's views. Tried to reveal them. I think we did.

I think this story is a really good example for people to look at when it comes to understanding bias at NYT. It's not that the reporter, Dana Rubinstein, says anything outright false. But the framing, word choices, etc., add up to an unprofessional and biased account.

The reporter has a pretty clear bias against Muslims. She went out of her way to get a quote from a conservative Muslim who wished that Mamdani had gone on some rant about radical islamic extremism or something or other.

great point by @jenrubin.bsky.social. Jobs don't walk away, they are destroyed and someone/something is always to blame. This time: it's Trump.

Mr. Mamdani chose an alternative path: two deliberative written statements, and one 14-minute joint appearance with his police commissioner, Jessica S. Tisch, a political moderate, during which they took only four questions.
Mr. Mamdani may have risen to power on the strength of his strong communication skills, but in moments that cut close to some of the cityβs deepest fault lines and his own religious identity as the cityβs first Muslim mayor, he has come to favor a more cautious and stiffer approach.
Hmm, pretty suspicious that this guy uses different communication styles for different events.

βZohran Mamdani is the most prominent observant Muslim in American life. He has made his religious identity a central part of his political identity, and he has vowed to stop βbiting his tongueβ in the face of Islamophobic attacks,β Reihan Salam, a Muslim who is the president of the conservative Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, wrote in an email.
βThat gives him unique credibility and authority to speak out against the chauvinism, extremism, misogyny and racism that exists within Muslim communities and that has spilled over into violence again and again.β
why isn't the Muslim mayor taking this opportunity to talk about how all Muslims are bad?

Mamdani Chooses His Words Carefully After Alleged Terror Attack
One day the NYT's editors will read these stories again and be ashamed of themselves. Mamdani called the attack "heinous," "criminal," "reprehensible," "terrorism," and "the antithesis of who we are." The insinuation that he's conflicted about this is disgraceful. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/09/n...

There were no short-form videos posted to social media about the attack in front of Gracie Mansion, where Mr. Mamdani lives with his wife, Rama Duwaji. There were no impassioned speeches.
Mr. Mamdani chose an alternative path: two deliberative written statements, and one 14-minute joint appearance with his police commissioner, Jessica S. Tisch, a political moderate, during which they took only four questions.
this reads like it was written by the bari weiss squad over at the free press. Criticizing the mayor for NOT putting out a video about a hate crime but instead taking to traditional methods like a statement and then a press conference? What the hell?

His residence was attacked. And the story focuses on faulting him for not putting out a video?
Once again, @nytimes.com provides a really biased account of a major news story.

If only this were generally true. Andrew is an easy victim as he has made himself unpopular in all quarters. There are prominent people who are known to have profited from corrupt COVID contracts who still seem to have impunity.

Just a couple of years ago, the Wisconsin Supreme Court was a rubberstamp for GOP policies. Liberals could easily get to 5-2 with an election this year to replace Rebecca Bradley. An off-year election in 2027 is harder, but Ziegler retiring makes a previously unthinkable 6-1 split look possible.
