I started with a few on my own - The Cage, The Old Chestnut, and Home Cottage, then did the remaining 7 on one day with the guys from Hop Stop.

Our day scout for new joints over to Cypress Park, Los Angeles to one of my favorite find, an El Salvadoran Pupuseria. Friendly family run restaurante with tight traditional flavors, oh my!

The fun part of filming for Beyond Our Plate is we can order whatever and say, oh it's to feed the internet. We had a great time at this Buca in downtown Indianapolis, the server was a riot and told a few excellent Buca customer stories.
This is the Loco Burrito in Fountain Square, Indianapolis with a pitcher of fresh squeezed lemonade. I was happily surprised to find a tasty burrito in Indiana, but was floored to find the lemonade, always a food white whale.
I went up to Alaska for a wedding and there was a little perfectly art directed log cabin kinda restaurant that served this seafood stew, I forget if they called it a cioppino. But the seafood was fresh and the broth was a drinkable nectar.
Best food truck in L.A., I used to find this one downtown Los Angeles and there was always a line.
I probably posted these pics before but they always take me to a great time, awesome food, and cool folk.
