Sorry for the spam, but I wanted to just share my thoughts per your request. I’ll hopefully get into it more with a potential video one day, as I’ll make at least 1 or 2 Fireman Sam videos minimum but probably more, we’ll see! But in short, that’s my take!
It’s got some great aspects like the new characters, (some of) the specials, the upgraded designs (mostly), the voice cast, the new emergencies & settings, and has plenty of great stories, but there’s still plenty of mediocrity, cheesiness, & weakness that holds it back from real greatness imo.
I think Season 5 is easily the best season and although I respect the older “classic” seasons 1-4, I find them to be too boring and slow for me, as much as I hate to say it. The CGI era has some great and not so great seasons for sure, but I’ll take it over 1-4 for sure & have a fondness for it
I’ve secretly been a fan of Fireman Sam on the side for many years, which I don’t know if people will find surprising or not. I’ll never love it as much as Thomas, but it’s like a guilty pleasure for me. In general, I think it’s a good show, but it has some real highs and real lows.
Oh gosh, lol, this is actually an interesting topic to me, one I would like to discuss more with other people & hope to maybe even make a video about someday. I don’t want to spoil my thoughts too much, but for now I’ll say, it’s a mixed bag for me. Some great stuff, some bad stuff, some UGLY stuff.
Nice ideas! Some of these are similar to some of my own actually! I’ll keep them in mind for the video, which I’m actually writing the script for right now!
