Sertraline saved my daughter’s life, along with the GP who was willing to step into a grey area and prescribe them to her at 17 because CAMHS (who had otherwise been great) wouldn’t. He will have my eternal gratitude. She’s not only surviving now, she’s thriving.
When I was team manager for my daughters swim team, the Bristol Stool chart formed part of the conversation at every single swim meet, our swimmers were oddly obsessed with it. I wonder if the current team members are also obsessed with it and if it’s passed down through generations of swimmers.
Went to Tavistock today and it seemed like every Morris dancer in the Southwest had been rounded up and let loose in the town, bells, sticks, drums and dancing all over the place. It was oddly comforting.
Maybe they aren’t happy with the behaviour policies of these secondary schools. Perhaps this trust in particular need to look at theirs?

Had those at my last school, I was on first name terms with them, Annie and Mary. Replaced the burners and that saw them through a couple more years, eventually though they shuffled off their mortal coils. CDC surveyor said “ohh these are the oldest I’ve seen” ☹️
Not just Derbyshire, capacity in my school is 70-80 depending on level of need, 138 on role, 50%ish 1:1, so high levels of staffing, deregulation from pupils due to overcrowding, exhausted staff, exhausted parents. It’s a nationwide crisis as pupils become more complex but investment is stagnant.
