Plane or drone, something is up there making a loud noise over #Longfellow right now #Mnwx

It's called tipping-in, and it's an easy and common repair. I thin some paste or white glue with water, and run a thin line of it along the binding side of the loose sheet and paste it in the crease.

Modern cargo bikes don't replace bicycles, they replace cars. If you haven't ridden since childhood, the capability will shock you.

Groceries are the perfect gateway errand for daily mobility. The bikes are ready. We just need the infrastructure.

Same with High Potential, she's not a cop, but working as a consultant, with a genius brain.

She's a lawyer, but now she's kind of a cop, working for NYPD originally to oversee the consent decree, now as a consultant.

"Our trans siblings deserve our support and encouragement, endorsement and vindication now more than ever as the rising tide of transphobia threatens to engulf not just trans people but everybody who associates with them."

Stephen Fry in a video message for Transmission

I know some disagree but someone like Stephen Fry changing his mind and doing a complete 180 after supporting She Who Must Not Be Named, is a good thing and is evidence that attitudes are changing.

lol I love reminding people that Mariah Carey's pen is lethal.

Eminem annoyed her so bad that she wrote a diss track that became a chart-topping pop hit. All I Want for Christmas is an ORIGINAL SONG. It is now a FIXTURE of CHRISTMAS. She's in a lane of her own IMO.

HF 4144 Moves Minnesota Backward on Disability Rights and Fair Housing At a moment when Minneapolis and the broader Twin Cities are straining under a historic housing shortage, our policy choices should be guided by a simple North Star: expand access, reduce barriers, and protect civil rights. HF 4144β€”the bill introduced by Rep. Danny Nadeauβ€”does the opposite. It would impose new location requirements and layers of local gatekeeping on small assisted living and disability residential programs, effectively pushing people with disabilities to the margins of our communities. That’s out of step with federal civil rights law, Minnesota’s Olmstead commitments, and the values the DFL has long championed. Start with what the bill does. HF 4144 targets assisted living settings with six or fewer residents and licensed residential programsβ€”precisely the scale of community-based homes that help Minnesotans with disabilities live integrated, self-directed lives. The introduced text directs regulators to consider a facility’s proximity to other disability housing and adds separation and notification requirementsβ€”what many of us know, in practice, becomes exclusionary spacing and clustering rules. These mechanisms give municipalities additional levers to deter or block disability housing. This is the well-worn playbook of not-in-my-backyard zoning by another name. That playbook clashes with federal law. The Fair Housing Act prohibits state and local...

I wish that there were more #Detective shows like #MurderSheWrote where the lead wasn't a cop. Proving that you don't need cops to solve crimes. I know Hallmark is doing this with their Hannah Svendsen, Aurora Teagarden, Jane Mysteries shows but those aren't very good.

I went to the Minneapolis Institute of Art today with my mom and we visited their seasonal exhibit "Modern Art and Politics in Germany 1910–1945." I am pretty fortunate to have a pretty sweet selection of museums in the Twin Cities area.

Yeah, we left the north loop in Minneapolis about half an hour ago, and on the walk to the car we were like β€œwow this really isn’t bad.” Now home in Saint Paul and we’re like β€œshoot, it’s over our boots, we gotta start shoveling!”

It’s day 103 of the ICE occupation of MN.

We are still here, keeping our neighbors safe.

Get out there tomorrow to snowblow and shovel for neighbors, move your neighbors cars in the snow emergency, and make sure they are cared for.

We’ve built amazing solidarity and community, let’s keep going.

Saw three snowplows in formation (well following each other closely) go down Washington downtown. Sometimes takes a long time to spot even one during snows. They’re on it, Mpls!

In #Minneapolis the rule is never plant most things until after June 1st. Temps can dip below 40 degrees at any time before then. I think we're starting to push that back a couple weeks but not last year, planted a couple peppers a week early it bit me in the ass, stunted. #mnwx 🌱

The Morrill Fire in Nebraska has killed 1 and consumed 549,000 acres with 0% containment. This is more than 10% of the entire area burned by U.S. wildfires in 2025, and makes it one of the 20 largest fires in U.S. history. Sunday forecast is grim: High Wind Warning, 25-35 mph winds, gusting to 50.
