Bit more energy this morning, so got some junk from to the dump since this is the open Saturday, finished tidying upstairs & plan to cut the backsplash. I think that's about that I can do-stuffy nose & sore throat again. Maybe this is allergies??
Storm looks a bit less severe, but it's cooooming...

Decided to go ahead & move to a newer, updated place until Socks is no longer w/me (expect at least 5 yrs when I'm Medicare eligible too) & then I won't be able to afford it & will have to move to a crummy place. But I'm going to enjoy life for now. Too many health issues to do any more projects 😞

Mortgage rates went up from 5.9% to 6.3% (on a 30 yr fixed w/no points) today at the bank I follow to see current rates. So no, interest rates are not going down. At least we never have to fact check anymore-just assume everything spewing from any Republican's mouth is BS

And I'll just say that I'm so so glad the trend of painting every surface grey is ending. I didn't know there were so many shades of grey out there 😆

I figured out how to find out how much assessments are on condos/townhouses for sale in one of the Twin Cities' counties. Saw one where the assessment (a very recent one) was $97K! The others in that complex were ~$65K! The condos are only worth like $225K. Tax bills are 8K+ Yowza!

Oh yes, it definitely does. Waaaay slower & I only get about 120-150 miles out of a full charge in winter temps. I think for people who commute 50-60 miles a day this would be tough. Newer cars are better because they use different tech & aren't hit as hard by the cold

Socks and Nanny are taking FULL advantage-the minute I sat down. We're so cozy. I love the kitties at Furball & will especially miss Stewart, but it's nice to have the free time & I'm really excited about the likelihood of getting stuff done tomorrow

Kinda nice to have Friday night off. Did just a little bit on the house after work but hoping now I'll be rested enough to be able to work on stuff all weekend instead of just Sunday.

In case you guys are curious, this is what a home EV charging station looks like. With my very old tech from 2019 I charge on weekends or overnight when rates are cheap, but new cars can fast charge in like 20 mins, basically. Since I barely drive, it works out great

Yeah, I haven't been outside but don't see any siding/shingles on the ground. Most of the gusts here were in the 40's but I think I saw one at 51. Was awake a lot of the night listening to the trees in the wind! And so glad you're ok, too. I want to check news-pretty sure others weren't as lucky

Welp guys, ended my Furball volunteering. Never recovered my prior energy level after the surgeries last year so generally I'm resting most Saturdays. But realtor wants to do pre-market showings so I need to finish the updating I need to do this weekend. Handyman 3/23-3/25 then pics & on the market!

Skipped out of work 15 mins early to beat the storm & get kitty litter & stuffs. Already had a wind gust of 35 even tho high wind warning doesn't take effect until 12am. Car's tucked away in my crooked little garage, took bird feeder down, put out kibble & bricks around cat shelter & now hunkering 😱
