I'm hoping to move back to the city I chose to live in after the BF & I broke up not long after moving here. Lived there for 12-13 years. But it borders MPLS & there's been a lot of car racing & some shooting/gun issues so I need to check it out & see if it's changed too much in the past 5 yrs

I had two of them because the first guy couldn't tell the difference between an electric baseboard heater and a hydronic one. I would never buy a place w/out one. If it's that competitive for a place, someone else can have it

I was thinking that, too. One of the reasons I want out of small town America now is because all I can think when I meet people is that they look up to and respect someone like Trump. I don't want to be forced to associate w/them. I literally detest them.

Way too early to look at places for sale but I've been checking out the MLS & there seem to be places that would work, even wanting a detached garage so I can bring my EV charger. Lots sell quickly, but some don't & not sure why. One has been for sale for 6 mos but I know the complex & it's nice!

Thanks so much! Realtor said these are serious buyers, but it's premarket and a lot of stuff isn't ready yet. Hope they can see past that. Looked back at pics when I bought & SO much was hidden. Home buying & selling feels so shady-trying not to be like that

Same thing here. Plus the toy itself was really noisy. Too many toys I've tried are either too loud or too fast for my guys

I'd added insulation panels because the wall was a mess & I used wallpaper to make it look a bit prettier. With the addition of the dishwasher end cap I decided to try to cut some trim so it looks better 4 Mon. Handyman will finish drywall, I'll redo wallpaper & have him attach trim (taped for now)

Had to remove the discontinued backsplash (didn't have enuf to finish) & tried to cut it & put it place. The reason I hired a handyman is because my cuts SUCK. I short cut a trim piece 🤬 But my miter corner is ok. The wall is wavy so it won't sit flush against wall. Handyman will have to fix it

Pre-market showing Mon so getting some stuff done (handyman comes 3/23). Fitting new doors to old houses is hard-Steve did a great job but there were large gaps at the bottom of the brick mold so I'd stuffed foam & caulk there temp. Had to do SOMETHING for Mon, so cut & taped in trim for now

Forgot to post this last week. After I took this I heard a noise and, yes, Nanny did fall off. She’s learned nothing 😾

Oh this was refuse. Usually only open M-F until 3:30pm, so I have to take some time off work. Through March every other Saturday it's open, so I took advantage 😁 Ohhh, I could definitely use some shredding, though. I have a tiny shredder

Bit more energy this morning, so got some junk from to the dump since this is the open Saturday, finished tidying upstairs & plan to cut the backsplash. I think that's about that I can do-stuffy nose & sore throat again. Maybe this is allergies??

Decided to go ahead & move to a newer, updated place until Socks is no longer w/me (expect at least 5 yrs when I'm Medicare eligible too) & then I won't be able to afford it & will have to move to a crummy place. But I'm going to enjoy life for now. Too many health issues to do any more projects 😞

Mortgage rates went up from 5.9% to 6.3% (on a 30 yr fixed w/no points) today at the bank I follow to see current rates. So no, interest rates are not going down. At least we never have to fact check anymore-just assume everything spewing from any Republican's mouth is BS

And I'll just say that I'm so so glad the trend of painting every surface grey is ending. I didn't know there were so many shades of grey out there 😆

I figured out how to find out how much assessments are on condos/townhouses for sale in one of the Twin Cities' counties. Saw one where the assessment (a very recent one) was $97K! The others in that complex were ~$65K! The condos are only worth like $225K. Tax bills are 8K+ Yowza!

Oh yes, it definitely does. Waaaay slower & I only get about 120-150 miles out of a full charge in winter temps. I think for people who commute 50-60 miles a day this would be tough. Newer cars are better because they use different tech & aren't hit as hard by the cold

Socks and Nanny are taking FULL advantage-the minute I sat down. We're so cozy. I love the kitties at Furball & will especially miss Stewart, but it's nice to have the free time & I'm really excited about the likelihood of getting stuff done tomorrow

Kinda nice to have Friday night off. Did just a little bit on the house after work but hoping now I'll be rested enough to be able to work on stuff all weekend instead of just Sunday.
