Maybe its just jaded history. But I feel like we all got burnt at some point by a scrappy Citrix implementation and still suffer from that thinking.
Extensions are scary. Maintainers not responding, we will see more vibe coded ones. I wish #Microsoft gave us the ability to manage #VSCode in #intune. Instead we only get Group Policy templates. I find it amazing that Microsoft products can't be managed in a Microsoft platform.
Really not a bad idea. Only thing I could see happen is with NIL, if players didn't like the teams with $, they'd go back to college. I think you'd have to have no exceptions in the cap. Rookies can only sign with teams with actual cap space. Would there still be $$$ slots for each pick?
I've always questioned why the lottery, the actual ping pong ball part is taped. There's that and the Ewing theory, which is why they went to the lottery in the first place. The 7% sounds good, but then you get a team like the Spurs that get Duncan after one bad year. Only league doing a lottery.
As long as the NBA is marketed and officiated as a star driven league and not team driven it will be this way. It needs full systematic changes that I'm not sure the team owners want to deal with
The problem is the NBA is built on that hope that your next pick is a star, rather than caring about the team you have. If you're a play in team, chances are you're not going to win a 7 game series against the #1 seed. Doesn't happen often. Fans would rather miss the playoffs for that hope.

Im not sure what the intersection of endpoint people and basketball history is. I wasn't alive during the ABA, but my dad was. I consider myself pretty well versed on the history of it. A lot of stories I hadn't heard before. Highly recommend. #aba

Update: Super Bowl has been boring af. Made a Proxmox ISO, went into advanced options, ran pve8to9. Told me grub was missing. Reinstalled grub. Problem solved. Initially tried with a Fedora live usb. Much easier this way.
Oof. Broke my Proxmox install running an upgrade from 8 to 9. Of course I just yolo'd it. Now my reverse proxy and a dns server are down. Won't go past bios, not enough time today to look at it. 😭
