The explosive was not as damaging as it could have been, thankfully- a large cut of rock protecting the actual nest from the shockwave seemed to steady the blast, but still; myself and the team fear the worst for the missing pups.

our cameras couldn’t find them, neither could our sonar. They both seemed to have gone dark after the U-Boat drew closer to the mine field and triggered one of the explosives. -

The camera knocked into the nest picked up rapid movement soon after the U-boat made itself known. Only one pup seemed to make it home, desperately trying to wake their parents. The larger pup, and the other newborn seemed to be missing and -
