1. Horrifying ruling out of the 4th Circuit.
An all-Republican 4th Circuit panel has just ruled that states can compel trans adults to "appreciate their sex" by enacting care bans.
It even directly says that trans adult care bans are legal in the ruling.

For trans people, online resources and community are lifelines. The spread of age verification laws combined with anti-trans ID laws will block access to these lifelines. This is by design.

Cis people need to pay attention to the way they communicate this. They freely admit that after all of their research, they came up with zero evidence that HRT was harmful.
Then they banned it anyway, claiming their inability to find a reason is a reason in of itself.
Last year, a person told me that murder should be illegal. When I said it was, they told me that wasn't possible because people were still doing it.

The idea that there’s a “better” or “default” POV that should be used for writing just reveals a gaping hole in general craft.
If you’ve never considered why you’ve chosen a specific perspective to tell a story in, you’ve missed a step!
I genuinely wish they'd teach us about queerness; that it exists and it's completely normal. Fortunately, I learned I was queer without much trial and complications (thanks to the internet :P), but others are not so lucky.
