A samurai-style metallic helm made of a dark steel-grey material, with gold accents. A solid gold band wraps around the brow of the helm, with a large, stylised upside-down A dominating the centre of the piece.
I jokingly allowed my players to buy a Helm of Teleportation (that insists upon itself), thinking I'd have to find some whacky third-party art to portray the item when I make them a physical card for it.
As it turns out, the Helm of Teleportation really does insist upon itself! D&D official art...

Two magic: the gathering cards are sleeved in hardshell cases while surrounded by other cards. One is Elspeth, Storm Slayer, a mythic planeswalker for 3 and two white mana. The other is a borderless Verdant Catacombs, a mythic Special Guest land that lets you tap it, pay 1 life, and sacrifice it to put a Swamp or Forest from your library onto the battlefield.

I'll need to be waking up at 6am when the job starts tomorrow. It's definitely doable, I used to do it every day, it's just been awhile and my sleep schedule is definitely closer to finishing work at 11pm 😅
The one downside of the new job is the return to regular hours (8:30-4:30) from irregular escape room shifts (anywhere from 10am to 11pm).
Trying to wake up earlier and earlier in the lead-up to the job has resulted in a very sleepy Pixel... 😴
It barely feels real yet, but I finally have a new job! A full time one, with decent pay and benefits, something that will get me out from the pit of despair that casual, irregular shifts had sunk me into.

Three Magic: The Gathering cards on a green, black, and purple game mat. A Command Tower (which taps for any colour in your commander’s colour identity) is tapped, as is a Sol Ring (a 1-cost artifact which taps for two colourless mana). Untapped is a Swiftfoot Boots (a 2-cost artifact equipment that grants hexproof and haste to a creature for an equip cost of 1).
Sometimes you have a turn one in commander that is so heinous…

With the exception of Profane Tutor, every card in here I've either cracked from packs or pulled from a random rakdos starter deck I picked up for the mana base.
I've done it, I've finally won a game of commander with my first ever commander deck!
I mean sure, it's been tuned a little here and there from its initial iteration, but I've been wanting to get a FNM win with Alesha since I cracked her in my first ever foundations pack :D

Had undeniably my favourite session of a D&D game ever last night! After two years of deflection, my paladin finally admitted to the party that her wife passed away not too long before she went off adventuring.

It feels like shifts are just getting fewer and farther between, and no matter how many jobs I apply for I am *still* not getting to interview stage with any of them, so here I am... stuck, with dwindling income and an ever-rising cost of living.

Okay, while I do appreciate constantly getting to play Friday Night Magic again, I do NOT appreciate four straight weeks of not getting shifts at work... it would be nice if I could get paid a little, y'know?

A full game of Magic: The Gathering Commander being played across four game mats. Each player has a number of cards on their mat, and two players can be seen from the torso down, showing someone holding their cards in hand while someone else rests their chin in their hand.
Dang, the Orzhov Aetherdrift-only commander gimmick deck I ran last night at FNM held its own surprisingly well! No wins, but second place against waaaaaaaay more expensive decks.
Probably helps that I pulled an Aetherspark from my entry pack and immediately put it in game 2, but still… very fun 😊
Nothing quite so exciting for me than realising my next Pathfinder campaign can be set in a different part of the same world as my D&D games.
Cultural changes, godly manifestation differences, no longer being married to the progress of the old world... I have a whole new sandbox to play in!
