This is cool!

I just tried this out and it worked on my second try. It got stuck before importing the first time so I just refreshed and retried.

Anyway, to the lay person it may not be clear what's happening or what this does, so let's go over exactly what's going on.

The login flow needs some love too tbh, I should do that there too. Improve the UX quite a bit.

I can, I do it when routing requests. This is more for sign ups.

Right now, if you tap the I don't have an account button it pretty much tells you to sign up off the app. I'd like to be able to tell folks you can sign up, here, or there, or there with branding.

Web Directions Conferences (and more) Conferences for web and digital professionals, in person and online

β€œYou can be intellectually convinced that the results are real and still be unsettled at a gut level, because every instinct formed within the old paradigm is screaming that this is wrong.”

The moon going from full moon to a red moon and starting to go back to a normal full moon, then my camera battery door fell off.

Here's my first edit on the March 3rd Lunar Eclipse. 15 moon shots, 1 foreground. Taken over a 3 hourish period.

Oh do you know what your markdown lexicon is like? I've been trying to find a common markdown spec I can add as the default for quick writing in Heron. Been looking at this recently: https://github.com/AramZS/markpub.at/pull/1#event-23163405819

Would be nice for @bsky.app to add Standard site documents to the records you can embed in a PostView. Would encourage folks to post more long reads.

Caught this gorgeous, elusive Green Heron while out filming over the weekend. Didn't realize I had this nugget in the mix! πŸͺΆ

Two Pillars of (Engineering) Management A former colleague once described their view of management as a role measured by two* pillars. As an IC, I really like this framing of it and it's helped me a ton of times in knowing how to best work ...

My dad programmed microprocessors by hand in the 80's. He'd talk as wistfully as the linked blog post reads about how much fun he had in his time playing with microprocessors and I'd just nod along.

I had a nice phone call with him yesterday, and I found myself being the wistful one. πŸ₯Ή

It'd be really nice if the listRecords XRPC call had arbitrary filters. I'm working on adding @standard.site support to heron, and it'd be nice to be able to list documents for a publication. Atm I can just fetch them from a user's pds regardless of publication.

Check out this thread to see the beauty of the "you can just do things" mantra of Atproto. Thanks in no small part to @pds.ls which at this point is the unofficial, official atproto debugging tool.

LLMs break the internet. Signing everything fixes it. The dead internet theory wasn't wrong, just early. Here's what to do next.

Bluesky is ridiculously well-positioned for the agent internet. Everything signed = agents can build up un-fakeable reputations. newsletter.squishy.computer/p/llms-break...

Few things break immersion when reading a blog, article, or even a post like "it's not just x, but it's y".

It's as if the only written literary device capable of persuasion is some variation of that phrase. Its the herald of slop.
