One of the other nurses here had her truck keyed pretty bad in the parking lot a couple weeks ago. Well they caught the culprit on camera, and I felt kinda vindicated in that it was exactly who I suspected; the narcissistic guy that really thought he was masking well. Had him zeroed from day one.
It’s like getting hit by a wave for me. Arriving with the vague hope of being properly staffed, crushed by the inevitable missing person, knuckling down and getting the meds passed, then more or less getting over it.
It’s amazing how quickly a perfectly good mood can be ruined by the simple act of going to work.

Not to sound like an old man but holy shit I hate the way everything has to talk around words these days. To the point you can’t even have a serious discussion without sounding like some TikTok twerp.

So I went to Walmart to buy a shovel this morning. Achey Breaky Heart was on the radio.
Two things;
1. They’re censoring fucking Achey Breaky Heart blowing up and ***ing this man these days.
2. Trying to sleep while grieving with goddamn Achey Breaky Heart stuck in your head is a special hell.
She was. Not at all screamy and I think she only bit me twice in 20 years. She was a very good bird.
I had her for 20 years. Wasn’t there for hatching but she was still needing to be fed by hand for a few weeks. She helped me get through nursing school and my first awful nursing gig.
I don’t even own a shovel.
It took me so long to find a treat Sam, my late conure, wasn’t terrified of. Turned out she hecking loved potato chips.
Coming home to an empty cage is going to be rough.
