I guess whenever an alan wake 2 or something comes out I'm just like "thats a tv game tbh" and i get it on ps5. The computer is for playing multiplayer shooters at 100+fps.

I'm like yeah lemme install a not very twitchy single player game where I wont feel the latency too bad and my steam library is like "best i can do is 30 different fighting games and deadlock"

Getting moonlight running recently and trying to Casually PC Game on my tv has truly exposed how much I unintentionally segregated my pc and console game libraries. I literally only own sweaty ass multiplayer games on pc lol.

Every time I leave ranked and stick to lobbies and longer casual sets with people trying to spar and figure shit out I immediately get 10x stronger. I wouldn't have been even 1/20th as competent at melty blood if I didnt spend 90% off the time just lobbying and getting real practice in.

It's always frustrating to articulate because people are like "oh yeah I hate ranked too, people are too good and its not fun!" and that is *not* why dont like ranked lol. Ranked always feels like you're fighting an endless stream of people biting your ankles and throwing pocket sand in your eyes

I've always felt insane for not enjoying ranked in fighting games mostly in part because I am a sweaty player and I don't have "Ranked Anxiety" or any fear of getting my ass whooped. It just encourages way less fun play styles and never gives you enough knowledge to grow.

tldr wasnt getting
100% of the juice I was expecting from the new graphics card, especially when playing marathon, and I quickly realised it was getting choked out by my aging cpu. Really didnt want to spend the money on more upgrades but I now feel a bit more shored up for a few years.
