I think we were talking about automating him with Opus 4.5 because Opus 4.5 is funny, and I must've called him old or something because I vividly remember him saying well what'll happen to you when AI can automate being a little shit, huh? while laughing and possibly drunk

They came for the 90% of the total population that were farmers, and I shut up because woah cool new tractor, nice haber-bosch process, holy heck monoculture works!

And now they have come for me the 2%, and only the Institute for Policy Studies will speak out for me.

@norvid-studies.bsky.social see how annoying it is I have to write out the "bsky.social" dangling awkwardly instead of "norvid.net", how smooth, how perfect

Twitter is so frustrating. I ostensibly have four times the "followers" there, this is the same post, and yet engagement is a fraction of what it is here. Was it downweighted in their accursed algorithm in some perverse scheme against links in second tweet? I don't know. But twitter disicentivizes

Solar Storms โ€” LessWrong Most of civilization's electricity is generated far off-site from where it's delivered. This is because you don't want to be running and refueling coโ€ฆ

New post! Solar storms are damaging and expensive, are a tail risk for catastrophic harm, and can be averted straightforwardly and cheaply (only we haven't done so).

Hmm there's more capital and white box advantage on the side of defense, no matter what LLM you use? Yeah, the point about Anthropic being able to track down and stop cyberhacking attempts is void with OSS
