βPrivatisation was the experiment β and itβs failed. We have water companies pumping sewage into our rivers and charging us extra for the privilege.β
Zack Polanski says itβs time to bring water back into public hands on #BBCPoliticsNorth.

Loved the first episode. How about the difference in the media's coverage of the men's and women's game, I'm currently in Switzerland for Euro 2025 and see and hear nothing but positive stories about women's football, where as men's football is full of negative stories
"People are allowed to come here and claim asylum."
@carolinelucas.bsky.social challenges Tim Montgomerie's irresponsible language on BBC Newsnight.
We have had such a wonderful time in Zurich, such a beautiful friendly place, with the added attraction of an England #WEURO2025 thrown in, mega expensive but worth it, so much the UK could learn from how this country does things
Signing players while our manager is in Switzerland? It seems like somebody else is pulling the strings, then again I'm in Switzerland too #weuro2025

LOCAL ELECTIONS 2025 For Real Hope and Real Change VOTE GREEN Next Week Green Party Promoted by Chris Williams on behalf of The Green Party, both at PO Box 78066, London SE16 9GQ
π One week to go until you can vote for real hope and real change.
City fans protesting against ticket issues outside the Etihad once again. Cheapest matchday ticket for adults is Β£71 tonight #mcfc
Great review, it takes two teams to have a great game of football, when one sets up to spoil the others play then its usually a poor spectacle
Man City fans want Viagogo gone.
An estimated 7-8000 fans took part in Wednesday's action, probably the biggest in-stadium ticket price protest since 2016's Kop walkout: thefsa.org.uk/news/man-cit... #MCFC
Down at Crawley Town for the women's game, very welcoming, wish all away venues treated you this way #ManCityWomen #WSL Disappointed by the lack of real Seagulls, was hoping to see one nab an ice cream

Mahmoud Khalil finally gets the chance to speak for himself: βMy arrest was a direct consequence of exercising my right to free speech as I advocated for a free Palestine and an end to the genocide in Gaza, which resumed in full force Monday night.β
REAL HOPE. REAL CHANGE. THE Β£311,400 QUESTION Which side is Wes Streeting on? Green Party Promoted by Chris Williams on behalf of The Green Party, both at PO Box 78066, London SE16 9GQ
Health Secretary Wes Streeting has received Β£311,400 from private healthcare interests since entering Parliament.
Could that be reason he's such a fan of private involvement in our health service?
The Green Party is clear - private profit motive should be nowhere near the NHS.

I pay Β£22.50 per game for my 19 PL games, Β£8 per game for my 11 WSL games, and pay Β£10 per game to attend Glossop North End home games, I'll let you decide which is the best value for money. All three are a completely different experience, and sometimes at Glossop I'm watching a different sport.
Brilliant pod, just wandering whether keepers are given more time to make passes in other leagues compared with the PL as this would surely affect their passing accuracy
We might win it again π
