I really, really dislike these lying attack ads in the Pittsburgh mayoral election. Both candidates have +-'s, but Gainey's minus is not housing (it's probably administrative). He's done quite well on housing.
Paper is finally out!!!!
The notion that this administration was stripping Columbia of its medical research grants in order to combat antisemitism would be more credible if 1) there were any tangible & ethical requested steps & 2) they were not attempting to decimate research on several other fronts

A screenshot from a CNN article that reads as follows: Publicizing immigration enforcement less effective and puts officers at risk, former acting ICE director says From CNN's Javon Huynh There are good reasons why it is typical to refrain from drawing attention to immigration operations until they are complete, the former director of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement told CNN. βOfficer safety, especially when you're targeting individuals who should have a nexus to public safety, you donβt want to do anything to tempt them where they might be lying in wait for an officer, especially if somebody is doing harm,β John Sandweg told CNNβs John Berman. βIt reduces the effectiveness of the operation as word gets out that you are targeting individuals within the nexus to the criminal justice system, those individuals tend to disappear,β Sandweg said.
Reminder to publicize immigration activity as much as possible ππ
