I've thought about that before, but most hawks I see in my area are much too large. I assume this one is a juvenile Red Tail but I could also be wrong. I have never seen a Coopers in this area but there is a first for everything.

This Red-Tailed Hawk wasn't impressed with me trying to scare it away from my chickens.

Here is a Red-winged Blackbird sitting on top of a pole. I took this with the P950. I think it's a perfectly fine camera if it is all you have but I think I'll just carry it for the zoom to get pictures that are beyond the reach of my Z7ii.

I recently got a Coolpix P950 because there has been a lot of times where I just don't have enough reach. I'm still not sure what to think of it but I'd rather get a somewhat good picture than not get one at all.
