YUP. Don’t get me started with TSA (new since 9/11). You can’t go through security with water or even friggin toothpaste more than 4 oz. One time they took away my hummus. HUMMUS!

And it’s VERY RARE to be in a plane that has one pop down screen every few seats. Most long-haul airlines have a scree every seat with lots of movies to choose from.

But since 1998 in general - lots of flights have at least paid if not free wifi. No more seat phones or cigarette things in the armrests. You can carry on one roll aboard and one “personal item” like a purse or backpack. Overhead bin space is at a premium. You can’t get to the gate without a ticket.

Basically everything sucks now. All airlines are like budget airlines but with the same high price. No free checked bags. SW has an insanely confusing assigned seat and fare “tier” system. They got rid of everything that made their brand what it is.
