Another Glasgow Film Festival over! I tried to make an effort to review most of what I watched this year: boxd.it/RXOPE
In context, it comes across as more bored/childish. It's a fidget Cathy does at the dinner table while listening to Edgar and Isabella argue about going to see a hanging.

Also I will, entirely predictably, be going to see the FrightFest movie where Kurt from Glee is given evil robot sex hands by his mum.
Rose of Nevada, screening Thursday night and Friday afternoon. A Cornish time-travel film about a group of fisherman who find themselves in the 1990s after setting out on a boat which mysteriously re-appeared after 30 years.
Decorado, screening Sunday evening and Tuesday afternoon. A Spanish dystopian animation where a middle-aged mouse begins to believe he's living in a scripted reality. I always love taking punts on weird adult animation.
Egghead Republic, screening Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon. A Swedish post-nuclear black comedy where an unpaid magazine intern is sent to report on sightings of centaurs within a nuclear blast zone.
OBEX, screening Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon. A lo-fi fantasy movie about a loser whose dog escapes into the video game he's obsessed with. I am assured that the dog is going to be fine.
I've booked my Glasgow Film Festival tickets for this year! I know I have followers who are A) Glasgow-based film lovers but B) not as unhinged about reading 126 film listings as me, so here's a few punt suggestions. General ticket sales go up Monday at 10am, loyalty card sales are open now.

If you are at all interested in european history or weird documentaries, I would recommend you try to catch Fiume O Morte if you can - it talks about Gabriele D'Annunzio's brief pre-WW2 occupation of a city in modern day Croatia through locals' recreations of the photographs his media team took.
