New limit on high-interest loans targets 'predatory lending practices' | CBC News There’s a new limit on the interest rates Canadians are charged when they take out high-interest loans — a move aimed at preventing what the federal government calls “predatory lending practices.”

Another big win! High-interest loan rates in Canada have been lowered from 60% to 35%, saving borrowers an estimated $27.46 million in its first year alone. Momentum's Director of Community Impact, Courtney Mo, has led advocacy on this work for more than a decade. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Policy Wins! Canada Learning Bond sees Automatic Enrollment | Momentum The Canada Learning Bond was introduced in 2004 and provides up to $2,000 to help lower-income families save for their child’s post-secondary education.
