Unfortunately, true. Those who benefit from the current 'two-tier' system (the badges, the 'files protectors,' and the billionaire donors) won't voluntarily vote away their own immunity. The challenge is finding a rational, high-pressure way to force that change before there's just one option left.
The system is rotten beyond fixing. The only way forward is a model where secular ethics and objective evidence are the only things that matter in a courtroom or on Main Street.
