It really is funny that this probably took closer to 25+hrs but you can’t see that, since Procreate doesn’t record you using the lasso tool or how long you just stare at an image hopelessly(I say with love)
You know, this started as me trying to do something fun and new for some potential custom deck sleeves since I’m into MTG, and then it went so wildly sideways? Lol. Anyways-posting the Speedpaint below! Flash warning though, playing with that lighting definitely made some not so fun flashing bits.
A two headed wyvern faces the viewer; only its chest, wings, necks, and heads are visible. Behind it is a cloudy moonlit sky, with a crescent moon. In front of the wyvern is a small fox girl, tucked into a makeshift nest just for her. Kings, the wyvern, bends one head down to allow Vivian, the girl, to touch his nose. The other head watches with love and adoration for the small rider as she shows kindness and affection for her friend.

I wanted to play around with dynamic lighting and line less stuff for custom deck sleeves and somehow ended up here!
recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen AI for script-writing but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen AI for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that AI can be useful in every field except the one that they know best. It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen AI will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence relies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.
