Boeser signing is significant for Canucks, though puzzling to me from Boeser’s standpoint (Re: not wanting a change of scenery.) Significant to lock in 30+ GF, though the term is too long. Also puzzling is Van didn’t seem super high about keeping him just a few months ago.

I’m not ignoring the Kane acquisition, but reserving judgement until end of free agent season. What I will say is that the absolute #1 job for JR/PA is managing assets, and to date (assuming Brock goes, Demko and EP stay, JT fiasco, losing Tocchet, etc), they’ve failed in Vancouver.

Since joining the NHL in 1970, the Canucks have had 18 minor‑league pro farm teams, (AHL, ECHL, IHL etc). Their first ever AHL farm team was the Rochester Americans. Prior to 2025 three others (Express, Moose, and Comets) reached the final, but only Abby has won title! #CalderCup
