Feels good as an Army veteran myself to know I’m not alone. Our community is very unwelcoming to those of us with progressive ideas.

The proudest moment of my military service was carrying the colors in the 2009 Inauguration. I got to be a small part of history. Now I feel ashamed of our country as hate leads us down a path I fear may be the end of our great democracy.
