I'm in this skeet and I don't like it
There's a certain irony to Farage et al having a weapons grade meltdown at who's on a five pound note, when they're also buying loads of crypto that is specifically designed to replace cash.
Alan Ritchson should be ashamed of himself for attaching himself to this tripe. He's better than that.
War Machine (2026): a disgustingly jingoistic pro-US imperialist pile of patriarchal faux-macho pigshit of a film; and given what's going on in the world, is the most realistic piece of media out there.
I await Meta's band new "never before seen Hands-free ear Trumpet Device that will revolutionise the future of hearing!" release for 2027
Pretty crazy how important the blockade of a trade route is right now
The Rent Gap is real
As long ast they have halloumi sandwiches
Not the biggest by-product of Trump's bloodlust, but big thanks to the toddler-in-chief for kiboshing our field trip to Cyprus next week. Palmer's Green, here we come I guess.
it wasn't a subtle ploy I promise! But thank you
That's some company!
Thanks! Β£9.42. That's just enough for a pint in London so I going to bloody well enjoy it.
One of the chapters is titled 'failure' and posits that we rethink that word given how capitalism recalibrates it as simply a precursor to it's definiton of success, so really, it's very fitting that it doesn't sell 'well'.
In the spirit of highlighting academic failures, I thought I'd share the 2025 sales figures for my 2021 book 'Seven Ethics Against Capitalism': *drumroll*...... 15.
I appreciate getting any book published is an acheivement, but it's worth highlighting that very, very few of them do "well".
Look, we all know that you find the Research Techniques modules boring, but this is the result if you skip it guys...
Allahu Akbar is fairly mild in comparison
Trump says "the war is very complete," and he's considering taking over Strait of Hormuz
Same energy
βResistingβ is a strange way to spell guillotining
With all the pearl-clutching about the coming energy crisis, I am once again tapping the sign...
Oh look, a humane, decent and responsible policy towards immigration that the frothing-at-the-mouth racists say can't be done...
Stage with large screen showing a title card of Terminator 2. The stage has all the percussion and synth instruments that will play the live score.
Outside of the Hammersmith Apollo bathed in multicoloured lights, with Terminator 2 live in red letters on the hoardings
Watched T2 live last night and it was π₯ - not only did the live music emphasise the emotional punch of the film, it also highlighted just how good an action film it is (and blimey does all the Skynet/AI stuff hit A LOT harder today)
That's the unfunniest thing anyone's ever written since Mrs Brown's Boys
Hyperbole is like saying "she smashed it out of the park" or "that's the best ice cream in the world". Calling for someone to pushed out of a plane at 30k feet isn't. Believe it or not, context matters in this world. We all need to dial down the temperature a bit, or is that too hyperbolic?
Given the OP has 'disconnected' my quote tweet but not deleted it, here's @katebevan.com skeet calling for the murder of someone who had the temerity to play music a bit loud.
Yes it's annoying. But the hateful discourse on people who play music on public transport has reached utterly insane levels. Can we save our righteous ire for the people incinerating children please instead of calling for the murder of our fellow passengers?
People need to really get their priorities in order. The world is totally screwed in multiple ways and now we're calling for death (however jokingly) to people who play a bit of music on a plane?
