Def not, because what would make any man worthy of the obviously abusive dynamic he wants?
maybe that will be my new reply
"if I had been able to fix it at cvs, I promise I wouldn't be here talking to you"
the amount of money we're all paying for healthcare, the difficulty and wait to get in, the medical sexism against any woman of my age...
if you utter those words to me, you're lucky if I keep my inside thoughts to myself
I'll be finding a doctor who's more useful than an understocked CVS aisle
otc tylenol helps with pain but does not restore range of motion or quell the spasm
if it did, I would be thousands of dollars richer, because aggressive deep tissue massage is the only thing that fixes it now
and good therapists are rarely on call. often have to wait weeks to get my body back.
anyway my levator scap occasionally spasms and I can't turn my head for 3 wks, making driving unsafe
telehealth won't prescribe bc "all muscle relaxants are at least slightly sedating"
so fucking what? take them at night. safer than car accident.
"try tylenol"
are you f'n kidding me, asshole
doctors should be banned from saying the words tylenol/acet and ibuprofen
if I'm in your exam room asking for help w a problem, you can rest assured I've been not-really-getting-by with otc remedies for years for that problem
literally that's what otc is, it means I don't need your ass to try it

Ngl, whenever yet another middle-aged IT guy talks about how great watching TV on a monitor is, the image of a basement gooner cave full of CDs and other pre-millennial tech comes to mind
Which again, is...valid
But again it's neither accessible nor desirable for most
Are going to be putting up with its quirks for a looong time.
My monitor had built-in speakers + what looked like a 3.5mm jack. Computer speaker plug fit perfectly!
Reader, it was not a jack.
Also no jack on my Roku. I lived w the worst shitass car-on-blocks monitor audio for fucking years.
If you're concerned about privacy, the routers I've used can block specific devices from accessing the internet
So block your TV, and just leave your preferred third party input connected
And if you decide to reject my advice, at least be extremely fucking careful what monitor you buy, bc you...
You're going to have to plug in something like an Apple TV or Roku anyway, unless you want to do keyboard/mouse on the couch, or get some bitchy PC media center situation
So save yourself $$$$ and 10 diff headaches, and just plug that into a device meant for TV & standard accessories
Computer monitors are fine for some tinkerers, especially if you're willing to buy more accessories and deal with incompatibilities.
But this is not what most "I just want a simple dumb tv" people are looking for.
At best, it's a passable dorm room experience.
Wish techies wd stop pushing computer monitors as solution to unwanted smart TV features
Pic adust, on/off were hassles, diff I/O, no audio jack, no tuner, no remote, $$$$ for same size, annoying input switching...
Regret doing this for yrs. Attaching a 3rd party box to a smart TV is miles better.
If you ask people whether they want to know what they're eating, they'll say they want transparency.
But when we told everyone soylent green is made of people, something very paradoxical happened...
Wait, so it's not journalism's job to
Lie about lying
Use enough rhetorical soft focus to make Baba Wawa blush
Invent plausible deniability out of thin air
Rewrite unambiguous bigotry
Write flattering HLs
And simply hide anything embarrassing
So our rulers' comms teams can take the day off?
When Republicans talk about and implement total partisan media takeover, their plans for βinternet safetyβ also factor in. They want to concentrate online power into platforms they can control, but theyβre disguising it as bipartisan efforts to keep kids safe online.

Hey asshole, every terrorist attack on the diaspora reiterates lsrael's argument for a high-security ethnostate
You are not going to defeat lsrael by continuously making the case for its existence with global murder and antisemitism

Do any other developed countries fail to fund airport security?
PS: People don't seem to know there's a partial shutdown, not sure how effective this is as political pressure either
This Save Standard Time / @savestandard.bsky.social activist has probably been wanting to nuclear block me for a while for calling out their 1. bad science, 2. clearly intentional disinfo, and 3. secret data collection of Bluesky users
So I'm surprised it was for this mild teasing:
